How does a realtor claim a city territory for referrals?
In the Realtor Referral Hub, a realtor claims a city territory on the public Territory Race board: an invite that lands is 1 counted point, 25 counted points claims your metro, and the partner with the most counted points holds it. A Verified Placed Referral adds +25 board points for 30 days, and 500 counted points locks a metro for a year. Claiming is free — partners earn territory by bringing realtors into the network, never by paying for it.
The claiming rules, in plain words
- 1 counted point for every invite that lands — a realtor who joins the network because you brought them.
- 25 counted points claims your metro. That is Claim Your City: your name goes on the metro as its territory holder.
- Most points holds it. A challenger with more counted points takes the metro — the board is public, so everyone can see the standing.
- +25 points for a Verified Placed Referral, live for 30 days — placing a real referral through the Hub moves the board, but never counts toward a Governor seat.
- 500 counted points locks a metro for a year on the Governor ladder (seats at 500 / 600 / 700 / 800 / 900).
Why territory is earned, not sold
Directory territory is usually sold to whoever pays the monthly fee. Here a territory is a record of work: the partners holding metros are the partners who built the network in that city. Homeowner requests for a metro go first to its holder — that first claim on real referrals is what a claimed territory is worth.
